Backend Engineer (Java / Scala / Kafka / AI)
Riskified is hiring Backend Engineers at multiple levels for its Lisbon engineering hub. Build AI-powered fraud detection systems used by global ecommerce brands. Stack: Scala, Java, Node.js, Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, Terraform, Databricks, and AI technologies.
Responsibilities
- - Build and scale backend services powering AI fraud detection for global ecommerce brands
- - Work with Kafka event streaming, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure
- - Develop data pipelines and ML-ready data systems on Databricks
- - Collaborate with Data Science teams on productionizing fraud detection models
- - Ensure reliability, performance, and security of real-time risk systems
