Infrastructure Engineer / Sysadmin

Partner with IVPN's senior infrastructure engineer and own day-to-day infra: rolling out a new immutable, diskless, bare-metal VPN gateway fleet, improving DNS routing, and automating everything automatable. Fully remote (UTC-1 to UTC+3 only), high autonomy, maximum freedom, minimum meetings.

Responsibilities

  • - Roll out a new immutable, diskless, bare-metal VPN gateway fleet
  • - Improve DNS routing and automation across IVPN and modDNS
  • - Manage production Linux infrastructure including bare-metal servers
  • - Apply config management (Ansible, Puppet, or Salt) across the fleet
  • - Script automation in Python, Go, or Bash
  • - Implement infosec best practices: public-key crypto, TPM, reproducible builds

Requirements

  • - 3+ years managing production Linux including bare-metal
  • - 3+ years with a config management tool (Ansible, Puppet, or Salt)
  • - Python, Go, or Bash scripting proficiency
  • - Solid TCP/IP, UDP, SSL/TLS fundamentals
  • - Genuine interest in infosec (public-key crypto, TPM, reproducible builds)
  • - Remote (UTC-1 to UTC+3 — Europe/Middle East)
