Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript)
GovStar is seeking a Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript) to build accessible, responsive interfaces for enterprise AI applications used across U.S. government agencies. This fully remote role (Eastern or Central Time Zone, U.S. only) sits at the intersection of frontend craft and secure systems integration — you'll design and ship polished, standards-compliant UI while working closely with backend and AI engineering teams to wire up secure, government-grade integrations. Because the work touches sensitive federal systems, candidates must be U.S. citizens residing in the U.S. and able to obtain/maintain a government security clearance. Responsibilities
- - Build accessible, responsive, and performant UI components in React and TypeScript for enterprise AI applications
- - Collaborate with backend/AI engineers to integrate secure APIs and data pipelines into the frontend
- - Translate UX/design specs into production-quality, standards-compliant (WCAG/508) interfaces
- - Write clean, well-tested, maintainable frontend code and participate in code review
- - Partner with product, design, and government stakeholders to refine requirements and iterate quickly
- - Ensure application security and compliance practices are upheld across the frontend stack
