Senior Backend Engineer (PHP / Guidelines)
Join Frontify's Guidelines team as a Senior Backend Engineer. You'll own scalability, reliability, and performance of the Brand Guidelines product — including the public API and Brand SDK — building new features within a modular architecture and migrating legacy code on a platform trusted by global enterprise brands.
Responsibilities
- - Build and enhance the Brand Guidelines product area including the public API and Brand SDK
- - Architect solutions ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability
- - Develop new features within a modular architecture while migrating legacy code
- - Collaborate with product management, design, and engineering from discovery to delivery
- - Drive technical excellence across the stack with emphasis on backend PHP systems
- - Ensure high-quality code through well-defined testing strategies and code reviews

Requirements
- - Strong backend engineering background with PHP and MySQL expertise
- - GraphQL and REST API design experience
- - TypeScript proficiency; React experience or willingness to learn
- - Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles in practice
- - 5+ years backend engineering experience
- - Based in Switzerland (remote) or elsewhere in Europe
